Catholic Relief Services is the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic Church in the United States. Thanks to your support, in fiscal year 2011, CRS touched the lives of more than 100 million poor and vulnerable people in nearly 100 countries around the world.
The work you make possible saves lives, addresses the root causes and effects of poverty, promotes the sacredness and dignity of human life, and helps build more just and peaceful societies outside the United States. CRS also serves Catholics in the United States by inviting them to live out their faith as part of one human family.
CRS is one of the most efficient organizations in the world. In fiscal year 2011, 94 percent of the money we spent went directly to programs that benefit poor men, women and children overseas. CRS meets all 20 of the strict Charity Standards set by the Better Business Bureau's Wise Giving Alliance and has an "A+" rating from the American Institute of Philanthropy.
The CRS 2011 Annual Report shows that, by supporting CRS, you are making a difference in ways you may not realize.
