Catholics in U.S. Show Solidarity With Haiti
By Kim PozniakWhen news of the January Haiti earthquake spread around the world, Catholics in the United States were swift to unite and respond to help the survivors. From schools, parishes, universities and families, the help that poured in was overwhelming. Catholics everywhere found creative ways to rally their communities and raise funds for the hundreds of thousands of people who lost everything in the quake. In total, Catholics raised more than $120 million for Catholic Relief Services' relief and rebuilding efforts.
