Water Is Essential to Haiti Recovery
By Kim PozniakOn January 12, a 7.0-magnitude earthquake shattered Haiti's capital, Port-au-Prince. Most of the city's water infrastructure was destroyed, leaving millions without clean water for their daily needs. CRS immediately sprang into action, delivering food, water and emergency shelter, and using a variety of ways to provide clean drinking water and improve sanitation throughout a number of camps.
